To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what ongoing trials her Department is undertaking for the purpose of improving its operations; and what the cost to the public purse has been of each such trial.

The Home Office undertakes quality control and operational improvement work routinely, as part of normal business. Those costs reside within operational budgets, rather than being treated separately including for accounting purposes.
