To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs with reference to his Department's recent travel advice on the city of Kano in Nigeria, what guidance he can give to UK citizens currently in the region.

Our travel advice is frequently updated in the light of our assessment of potential threats and dangers to British citizens. Following the series of attacks in Kano city on
“we advise against all but essential travel to Kano city. Those in Kano city should remain vigilant and exercise caution.”
