Scotland: Referendum
House of Lords

Lord Empey (UUP)
To ask Her Majesty's Government, in the event of independence from the United Kingdom being granted to Scotland, what rights Scots who do not wish to reside in Scotland would have to move freely to the remaining parts of the United Kingdom.

Lord Wallace of Tankerness (Advocate General for Scotland; Liberal Democrat)
The Government are clear that Scotland benefits from being part of the UK and the UK benefits from having Scotland in it. If there were to be a vote in favour of independence in any referendum, the question of free movement is just one of many significant issues that would need to be addressed.
