To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what the benefit arrangements are of the non-executive directors of the (a) Met Office and (b) Hydrographic Office.

The Met Office and the Hydrographic Office pay their non-executive directors an annual remuneration and reimburse their non-executive directors all reasonable expenses properly and necessarily incurred in their appointment.
Details of the remuneration and benefits for non-executive directors are disclosed in the annual report and accounts of both trading funds. Copies are placed in the Library of the House each year.
