Crime: Children in Care
Home Department
Written answers and statements, 5 November 2009

Adrian Sanders (Torbay, Liberal Democrat)
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many offences committed by children in care have been recorded in each of the last five years.

Alan Campbell (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Home Office; Tynemouth, Labour)
The information requested is not collected centrally. From the recorded crime statistics collected by the Home Office it is not possible to identify either the age of the alleged offender or their individual circumstances.
