To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what estimate he has made of the effect on demand for the sex industry in London arising from the number of tourists expected to attend the London 2012 Olympics.

No such estimate has been made at this time. However, we remain vigilant and have measures in place to deal with any potential increase in the demand for prostitution as a result of the Olympics. We are assessing intelligence on a quarterly basis through the Olympics Organised Crime Threat Assessment, which includes prostitution.
