To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many working days were lost through employee sickness in the National Health Service in each strategic health authority area in each of the last five years.

After the 2005 report, the sickness absence survey was discontinued. Electronic copies of earlier records are not available. Results of the last two surveys on sickness absence from 2004 and 2005 have been placed in the Library.
