To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what recent discussions officials of his Department have had with representatives of the public house industry on alcohol duty; and if he will make a statement.

Treasury officials receive representations from a wide range of organisations and individuals in the public and private sectors as part of the process of policy development and delivery.
