To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the average case load for district nurses (a) in each primary care trust area and (b) nationally in the latest period for which figures are available.

Caseloads for district nurses are not determined centrally as this is an issue for commissioners and local managers who understand prevailing conditions and can take account of specific factors.
