Israel and Palestine
House of Lords
Written answers and statements, 2 November 2009

Lord Hylton (Crossbench)
To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they are making to the Government of Israel about the alleged deaths of two Palestinians, the wounding of 75 others, the destruction of 3,400 trees and the killing of 25 sheep, caused by Israeli colonists on the West Bank since the beginning of 2009.

Baroness Kinnock of Holyhead (Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office; Labour)
We are concerned by recent reports of attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank. The UK has consistently condemned such acts of violence. We continue to urge the Israeli authorities to enforce the rule of law and take action to prevent such incidents.
