To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he plans to consult on the inclusion of venous thromboembolism risk assessment and prevention in the 2010-11 NHS Operating Framework.

We expect the NHS Operating Framework for 2010-11 to be published later this year and we can confirm that it will include venous thromboembolism risk assessment and prevention.
