Written answers and statements, 21 July 2009

Baroness Warsi (Shadow Minister (Community Cohesion and Social Action), Communities and Local Government; Conservative)
To ask Her Majesty's Government how many people have been deported in each of the last five years on the ground of unacceptable behaviour.

Lord West of Spithead (Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Security and Counter-terrorism), Home Office; Labour)
Over the past five years one individual has been deperted from the United Kingdom on the exclusive grounds of unacceptable behaviour as defined under Section 3(5)(a) of the Immigration Act 1971 as the Secretary of State deemed his deportation to be conducive to the public good.
