To ask the Leader of the House how many hon. Members have been required to make repayments of their communications allowance following investigations by the Standards and Privileges Committee since the allowance was introduced; and how much was repaid in each case.

The communications allowance was introduced at the beginning of the 2007-08 financial year. Since that time, five Members have repaid a total of £16,811.51 following inquiries by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards which were reported to the Committee. The figures are as follows:
