asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why, of the 55 personal passport interview officers already employed, only nine, three at Belfast and six at Glasgow, were engaged in their duties on 1 July.

All interview office staff were engaged in their duties on 1 July 2007, which included testing, training and preparation of a number of interview offices, as well as conducting interviews at the Belfast and Glasgow offices.
