To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prisoners are being held for terrorism offences at HMP Belmarsh.

On 2 November 2006, the number of prisoners being held at Belmarsh prison in respect of offences under terrorism legislation, or for other criminal offences that are considered to be related to terrorism, was 52.
