To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government whether energy performance certificates will be required for rented accommodation.
Article 7 of the EU directive on the energy performance of buildings requires an energy performance certificate to be made available to the owner of a building, or by the owner to the prospective buyer or tenant, when the building is constructed, sold or rented out.
