Gordon Brown The protocol will come before the House at the time of the next accession treaty. That is what was decided at the European Council and that is what I recommend to the House. — from debate entitled “European Council” The three speeches/headings immediately before - 1 earlier: Christopher Chope
Will this House have the opportunity to debate and vote on the protocol before the next Irish referendum? - 2 earlier: Gordon Brown
It is to pay our share as part of a European Union that includes the Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia and many of the other countries with which the Conservative party wants to be associated. I believe that it is right that we share the burden of membership of the European Union, so that every part of the European Union can look forward to prosperity. - 3 earlier: Peter Bone
The House of Commons Library confirms that last year, the UK's contribution to the European Union was £3 billion. Next year, it is going to be £6.5 billion. At a time when the Prime Minister's Government are having to cut public expenditure in real terms, why is our contribution to the European Union more than doubling?

differ slightly from the printed version. And a small note – if
the speech you are looking out for is an oral question (questions asked in the
