To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the publication of Recorded Crime in Scotland, 2008-09 , what assessment it has made of the number of illegal importation of drugs offences compared with 2007-08 and what action it will take.

This figure has remained constant for the last three years and remains significantly lower than its peak in 2005-06.
Law enforcement agencies will continue to work together, with the support of the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce, to tackle serious organised crime in all its forms.
