Patrick McFadden: ...outdated or unnecessary, they can ask for it to be looked at to see if it can be removed. That action would not be giving the business a promise that the regulation would disappear like a puff of smoke, but it would force the Department to consider the matter. There is certainly capacity in the overall regulatory set-up for business voices to be heard.

Patrick McFadden: The hon. Gentleman mentioned the proposals that a public health Bill would have contained if the Conservative party had won the election. Would such a Bill have provided for a full ban on smoking?
