Oral Answers to Questions — Health: Smoking (14 Jun 2005): Angela Smith: I thank the Minister for her response, and congratulate the Government on those results. However, the appalling statistic is that over 1,000 people a year die as a result of passive smoking. Does she not agree that it would sensible to extend the proposed legislation to ensure that all pubs offer a smoke-free environment, not just those that provide food?
