Oral Answers to Questions — Home Department: Territorial Army (26 Oct 2009) has video

Sally Keeble: ...scheme, I am sure that my hon. Friend would wish to join in the tributes to the outstanding work that they have done. Does he accept that for people who have repeatedly been out to Afghanistan and Iraq this will look like a very poor return for their enormous service on the front line?

Zimbabwe (1 Jul 2004)

Ms Sally Keeble: Rather than making a comparison with Iraq, will my right hon. Friend consider western Darfur, where the international community has been extremely effective—hopefully, at least—in putting pressure on the Sudanese Government to deal with their humanitarian problems, to give the people protection and food, and to allow aid to go in while the political situation is being resolved?

Ms Sally Keeble: My Department has had regular discussions with EU colleagues at official and ministerial level to talk about humanitarian aid to Iraq. The EU is providing 100 million euros of emergency aid.

Oral Answers to Questions — International Development: Iraq (26 Feb 2003)

Ms Sally Keeble: My Department is holding regular discussions with international organisations about contingency planning for a range of eventualities in Iraq. In the event of substantial population movements, we would expect the International Committee of the Red Cross to be the lead international agency in helping internally displaced people and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to take the...

Oral Answers to Questions — International Development: Iraq (26 Feb 2003)

Ms Sally Keeble: ...the hon. Gentleman that, in addition to any scenario that has been predicted, there are a substantial number of internally displaced persons—between 1 million and 2 million—now in Iraq as a result of the appalling regime there. I do not want to speculate on the outcome of any action, but our Department, as my right hon. Friend has said, is putting every possible effort into...
