Michael Fallon: The decision to close the shipyard at Portsmouth and focus shipbuilding activity at the Clyde was a commercial decision made by BAE Systems. A prospectus for the site was issued on 10 March. I am working with the Ministry of Defence in the search for a commercial venture to occupy the BAE site.
