  • 18-24 February 2006, to Pakistan and Kashmir, with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir, to visit earthquake zone. Flight and accommodation paid for by the Pakistan Government. (Registered 25 April 2006)
  • 1-8 April 2006, to Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, on a visit of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Great Lakes Region and Genocide Prevention. External and internal flights, accommodation, food and expenses covered by the APPG, who received funding for the visit from Save the Children, Christian Aid, Tearfund, the Rainforest Foundation, CAFOD, Amnesty International and Airserv. Sky TV accompanied the trip and contributed to the cost of the air charter and The Independent newspaper made a contribution to cover the costs of their correspondent who accompanied the visit.
