  • 1-11 October, to Afghanistan, to establish the security and political situation on the ground and visit the British forces stationed in theatre. The visit was sponsored by a donation from Mr Michael Hintze. (Registered 11 November 2008)
  • 14-19 November 2008, to the United Arab Emirates with an all-party delegation to meet Government representatives, as guest of the Government of the UAE. The costs of flights and accommodation were met by the Government of the UAE. (Registered 20 November 2008)
