  • 7-12 September 2008, to Israel and Palestine with Labour Friends of Israel (LFI). Travel and hospitality within Israel and Palestine paid for by LFI. Accommodation paid for by LFI at a rate discounted through the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Some hospitality provided by the Palestinian Legislative Council, Palestinian Authority and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (Registered 9 October 2008)
  • 21 September-5 October 2008, to Ghana, to participate in VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) Project PolVol, which invites MPs to use their skills as volunteers in developing countries. International travel, accommodation and other ancillary expenses provided by VSO. (Registered 9 October 2008)
