  • 4-9 September 2000, to Huston, New Orleans and Washington to meet US oil companies, visit installation in the Gulf of Mexico, the Minerals Management Service regulatory agency, the Department of Energy and to meet the Energy Secretary. Travel and accommodation provided by an oil industry scheme, which included funding for this visit from Phillips Petroleum (Oklahoma), Kerr McGee (Oklahoma), BP Amoco, Burlington Resources (Texas) and the American Institute of Petroleum and Geology.   • 16-17 October 2000 to Denmark with the Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group (PRAESEG) to witness the Danish wind farm sector and meet with senior members of the Danish Government Energy Agency and the Danish wind industry.
