Can I move on to the national policy statements and the IPC? One of the things that concerns me greatly is the degree of consultation that is needed with the national policy statements and the IPC. I wonder whether the Local Government Association has a view on how consultation should be carried out on the development of the national policy statement. A slightly different issue—I am running the two together—is how the planning commission should hear the views of local people.
