I understand the hon. Gentleman’s wish to go down the partnership route wherever possible—indeed, I think he said the voluntary partnership route wherever possible—but what is his answer if quality partnerships do not work and we do not see a transformation in bus patronage in areas where they either have not been tried or are not successful? What is his solution in those circumstances?
