The hon. Gentleman is clearly well ahead of the rest of the Committee in his thinking on pension tax relief. Will he confirm that his party proposes that the relief on pension contributions for higher-rate taxpayers be reduced from 40 per cent. to 16 per cent? For interest, will he tell the Committee whether he has market-tested that proposal in, let us say, Richmond Park?
