I am listening to the debate, and I am convinced that setting off is not a good idea. However, if it happens, can we have an assurance that if someone has an overdraft—perhaps a sole trader running a normal  bank account—and it is set off against cash, the overdraft facility would not also be removed, because that might cause all sorts of difficulties with future trading?
