I do not want to detain the Committee long on this clause, although I am glad of the opportunity to say one thing. For those who have not read “The Irish R.M.” by Somerville and Ross, I commend it to them, because we shall be changing the title “resident magistrate”, and I suspect that this will be our last opportunity to discuss such magistrates as an entity. I commend the clause to the Committee.
