It is not only a case of being bedevilled by IT. Some cases are more complicated than others, as we have said before. In complicated cases, such as that of Mr. and Mrs. Jennings who are two grandparents in my constituency who are looking after children who have an absent mother and father, the IT system seems to fail completely. Then, going back to an earlier point, we have to depend on individual caseworkers. Can we have an assurance that the IT system will not be of the average standard used for average cases, but that measures will be built in to allow the software to deal with more complex cases?
