I certainly was aware that there were flaws in the drafting of the amendment. One problem has been tabling amendments in the very short time between sittings. Especially if they have been passed to one and one thinks that they might merit consideration, it is better to put them in than keep them out. That was the case with this amendment. The best place to return to the discussion is probably on new clause 1, the wording of which I am rather happier with—although again, there may be some serious difficulties with it. However, it is tighter, so I beg to ask leave to withdraw the amendment.
