That would not be the case. One would ask for a copy of the register, and the company would have to provide it. I return to my basic point that what the hon. Gentleman describes as the register of members is a point in time: a shareholder might have sold half or three-quarters of their stake by the time the hon. Gentleman had got to Companies House and asked to see a copy of the register.
