The clause requires commons registrationauthorities, generally county councils and unitary councils, tocontinue to keep the registers of common land and town or villagegreens that were established under the Commons Registration Act 1965.It is not a new duty on local authorities; the clause simply preservesthe responsibility that they already have under existinglegislation.

Questionput and agreedto.

Clause 1ordered to stand part of theBill.
