Jim Knight (Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Rural Affairs, Landscape and Biodiversity), Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; South Dorset, Labour)
The clause enables a right of common attached to adominant tenement to be concentrated on part of the dominant tenement,as we discussed in respect of clause 9. That will enable the commonersto retain the full use of their rights when part of their farm holdingis sold for development or acquired under compulsory purchasepowers.
