I beg to move amendment No. 173, in clause 19, page 17, line 15, leave out subsections (2) and (3) and insert—
'(2) The provision of information is authorised in this section where it is—
(a) the provision of information to—
(i) the Director-General of the Security Service,
(ii) the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service,
(iii) the Director of the Government Communications Headquarters,
(iv) the Director-General of the Serious Organised Crime Agency, or
(v) a chief officer of police; and
(b) it is—
(i) in the interests of national security, or
(ii) for the purposes connected with the prevention or detection of crime.'.
