The hon. Gentleman made the point about the Minister's response on discrimination. It was interesting that she should pray in aid potential applications from other people pleading discrimination when the Government have chosen not to act on the advice of the Joint Committee on Human Rights or take up offers made by Lord Lester to tackle the issue of wider discrimination other than in employment and vocational training. The Government are in less of a position to argue vulnerability under article 14 when there is a big hole in, for example, housing legislation, which was a point made by the hon. Member for St. Helens, South on Second Reading.
