I am most grateful. The interest shown in the matter by the Leader of the House, the Standards and Privileges Committee and the Speaker of the House was clear at business questions a few weeks ago. There is a general feeling that something needs to be done in the short term to correct the current position. Given the hon. Gentleman's assurances, I beg to ask leave to withdraw the amendment.
