Clause 12 - Right to review of delivery order
International Criminal Court Bill [Lords]
10:45 am

Mr Crispin Blunt (Reigate, Conservative)
Will the Solicitor-General explain his position that the amendment would be in breach of our obligations under the Rome statute? Will he assure the Committee that the whole of the Bill is in line with such obligations? The amendments that relate to clause 23 were tabled to right the fact that the Bill is not consistent with our obligations. How can the Solicitor-General say that his is a consistent position? He cannot reject the amendment on the grounds that he has advanced, because that line of reasoning is not consistent.
