Mr Philip Hammond (Runnymede and Weybridge, Conservative)
I am grateful to the Minister for his helpful comments. Is there a good correlation between the level of general part II expenditure and the number of GPs in practice? In other words, how useful will the criteria that the Secretary of State will take into account be in determining the real level of services provided to patients in a given area? I ask that question because of my worry about the differential costs in different areas.
