6. Overseas visits
22-27 June 2008, to Syria and Lebanon, in order to look at security issues in the region. Flights, hotels, transport and subsistence paid for by Conflicts Forum. I was upgraded on one flight by British Midland. (Registered 30 June 2008)
1-11 October, to Afghanistan, to establish the security and political situation on the ground and visit the British forces stationed in theatre. The visit was sponsored by a donation from Mr Michael Hintze. (Registered 11 November 2008)
