Your Majesty, Lords and ladies, I wish to draw your attention to the position of the Realms or Dominions, in this Immigration debate in the House of Lords.I consider that these Realms should be given a special immigration status as sovereign states within the Commonwealth of Nations which retain a constitutional monarchy. In the UK, the Queens title is as follows: Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith. I request you to consider that the Realms should enjoy a privileged immigration status like the EU or better in terms of permanent residency and work permits. Those talented and skilled individuals who wish to pursue studies, scientific or professional work in the UK from other Commonwealth countries are not prevented from pursuing their goals through the Realms as a route to the UK. In addition, as defender of the Faith, Madam I would request you to consider the primacy of the Church of England and Christianity in this debate.
