A majority of MPs voted to continue, following the UK's withdrawal from the EU, to prevent the holders of intellectual property rights relating to a product from being able to control the distribution and resale of that product if it has been placed on the market anywhere in the UK or the European Economic Area.
That the draft Intellectual Property (Exhaustion of Rights) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018, which were laid before this House on 27 November 2018, be approved.—(Jeremy Quin.)
