The hon. Gentleman makes the most important point about why the research is necessary, and I thank him for the constructive way in which he has dealt with the Bill.
Alan johnson obviously seized on this comment as a gift, except that Lembit is a very dishonourable gentleman. In fact he is not even a gentleman in its strictest meaninging. All this talk about finding cures for this and that disease are smoke screens for hiding the fact that what really motivates this bill is vested interest.
